On Tuesday all the Grade 1 students, teachers and helpers (thanks to Frau Richter and Frau Rothenberger) made the journey to Winterthur to experience...
"TECHNORAMA"!
We visited the Mechanical exhibition first.
Circular and spiral motion
Vertical
A dancing rope...
Hours of fun with the spirograph machine:

I'm not sure Grade 1 are ready to drive yet.
There was plenty of crunching and grinding with these gears!
A whole range of pendulums to experiment with.
The boys try and find different ways to keep a hoop or ball rolling or spinning on the disk.
Working as a team to create different sand waves.
Trying to win against the robot is pretty difficult.
Perhaps one day we will all be driving on another planet or moon?
Up on the 2nd floor the children of all ages played with the giant wooden automata.
A giant lever to move a small ball.
"Where is the ball going now?"
Pushing and pulling on a rope triggers a whole chain of actions.
The enormous bubble machine makes beautiful colours and patterns.
